The multiple award winner and Omo Baba Olowo (OBO) crooner, David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido is presently in hot soup and many are hoping his father’s fame and wealth will be able to get him out of it.
The Aye singer, Davido, is presently wanted by the National Drug Law EnforThe video in which he featured Maybach Group artist, Meek Mill, also has a series of lewd scenesement Agency (NDLEA).
His new musical video titled ‘Fans Mi’ which Davido took to Instagram last week to celebrate its hitting one million views on Youtube in 10 days has put him in trouble with the NDLEA.
The music video is said to feature scenes of Davido discussing with an unidentified man as they bargain over a briefcase of dollars and parcels of hard drugs.
The song is supposed to promote the Omo Baba Olowo crooner’s gratitude and appreciation to his fans for their love and support for his career over the years. However, the singer was busy singing about his enemies and money, showcasing hard drugs, nudity and guns in the video.
The video in which he featured Maybach Group artist, Meek Mill, also has a series of lewd scenes
In response to Sunday Telegraph’s mail, NDLEA’s head of public affairs, Mitchell Ofoyeju said, “The agency considers the musical video, ‘Fans Mi’ inappropriate and indecent. It has the tendency to negatively influence and induce drug use and trafficking. Besides, it is counter-productive on the campaign against drug production, trafficking and abuse. The agency is also investigating the matter and will take necessary action,” he concluded.
Also commenting on the music video is popular music video critic, Nuella O’Peters who voiced her concerns on the video saying:
“It’s really outrageous seeing a brand ambassador and a mentor to millions of African youths indulging in such acts. He even went as far as using the substance for cooking in the video.
Can you imagine! It’s uncalled for. I do hope the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation will do something about the video.”

Must Read! 19-Year Old Girl Narrates How Three Trusted Friends Took Turns To Rape Her
In an act, which has shocked residents of a neighbourhood in Iju area of Lagos, three friends – Habeeb Adisa (25), Kehinde Aderinoye (25) and Ilyas Ogundimu (27) – have raped one of their female neighbours, a young woman, who is their close friend in the neighbourhood.
The victim, 19-year-old Adenike (not real name), a hair stylist, volunteered to speak with Saturday Punch, saying she summoned the courage to speak about her ordeal because she did not want them to go free and do the same to someone else.
Narrating how she was violated by the three men whom she trusted most in their neighbourhood, Adenike told our correspondent that not once did she suspect within the two years she knew them that they had such a heinous plan for her.
Calmly, but with a lot of anger and pain showing in her eyes, Adenike said, “I became friends with them as neighbours two years ago when my mother first rented an apartment in the area.
“Kehinde began to make advances to me. But I told him we were friends and did not want to be in a relationship with him. I have always rejected his advances.
“Later he would tell Habeeb and Ilyas to approach me to appeal on his behalf to accept his proposal, but I made them to understand that I could not go out with him. But we still talked and sat together in the neighbourhood as friends.”
Unknown to Adenike, the gentle disposition of her three friends was just a façade for the plan they had hatched on how to sexually assault her.
On Wednesday, June 17, 2015, an opportunity presented itself for the rapist friends to put their plan to work.
Adenike said, “In the morning of that day, around 9.30am, I went over Kehinde’s house like I usually did sometimes when I had nothing to do at home. I trusted them completely and usually went there to while away the time.
“Habeeb and Ilyas were there also. We were just talking when Habeeb suddenly came to me and picked me up. He threw me on the bed and I told him that I didn’t like that kind of play. I said, ‘If this is part of your playful habit I am not up for it.’
“But as he threw me on the bed, before I could stand up, he lay on me and pinned me down firmly. Kehinde quickly came over and started to remove my underwear. That was when I knew what they wanted to do. I struggled with them but they pinned me down and took turns to rape me.
“When I was screaming, one of them quickly went to the CD player, which was on at the time and turned on the music to maximum volume so that it would drown out my voice.”
When they finished, the three friends smiled in relish, it was learnt. They told their prey to pretend that what happened to her was a mere sexual encounter.
“They told me to just forget what happened and keep it between the four of us. But I realised that if I was afraid of stigma and kept it to myself, they would walk free and even boast to their friends about what they did to me. They would surely do it to someone else,” Adenike said.
Bruised and battered, Adenike summoned the courage to approach someone she trusted in the neighbourhood and narrated what happened to her. She was immediately advised to go to the Iju Police Division and report the incident.
As soon as she reported, some landlords in the area rose in the men’s defence.
Adenike’s mother said that because the parents of the rapists are landlords in the area, they first threatened her that if she decided to make the issue a police case, she would lose.
But on Thursday, after the police had arrested the suspects, our correspondent witnessed as families of the culprits and other residents of the area came out to the police station to beg Adenike’s mother.
Adenike’s case highlights the increasing incidence of sexual offences in Nigeria, where majority of sexual offences go unreported.
On Friday, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Mr. Kenneth Nwosu, told our correspondent that the suspects had been charged to court.

22 Vehicles Recovered From Former First Ladies
The Bauchi state government has seized 22 vehicles from the four wives of the former governor of Bauchi state, Isa Yuguda.
According to Vanguard, this was disclosed by the chairman of the new government’s transition committee, Senator Mohammed Mohammed who spoke at the government house in the state yesterday.
He said the recovery of the vehicles was within the mandate of the committee, which has the power to recover all items confirmed to have been allocated and return them to the new government.
Senator Mohammed said: “we have so far, recovered a total of 22 cars from the wives of the former Governor, Isa Yuguda. We recovered 11 cars from his first wife, seven from the second wife and four from the third wife. We are yet to recover the remaining cars from his fourth wife who is currently out of the country.
“We will ensure that whoever is in possession of government properties will be forced to return them. We urge public servants and the general public, especially those involved in the disposal and allocation of the property in question to cooperate with the committee for the effective discharge of its assignment.”
Meanwhile, the new governor of the state, Mohammed Abubakar, had vowed that he would ensure that all funds and property allegedly looted during the tenure of the immediate past administration are returned to the coffers of the state government.
Aisha Buhari Moves To Aso Rock, Waits For President
Aisha Buhari, the president’s wife, has finally moved in to the Aso Rock presidential villa, Abuja, The Punch reports.
Buhari’s inauguration took place 23 days ago. However, the leader of the nation and the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, have not been operating from the official residence. Their office work has been concentrated in their private quarters.
President Buhari preferred the Defence House: the official residence located at Maitama district, Abuja.
A correspondent of The Punch gathered that the formal relocation of the president’s wife to the presidential villa was in the evening of Thursday, June 18, while her husband was travelling home for Ramadan.
“She had relocated ahead of her husband. She passed the night here,” an unnamed source at the Buhari administration told the reporter.
The Aso Rock was more busy than usual on Friday. Some exotic cars were parked in front of the premises. This may mean that some honourable guests were paying a visit to Aisha Buhari.
Another source at the administration said that the president was expected to join his wife and relocate from the Defence House by Monday. Buhari is currently on his “private trips”, and is expected back this weekend.
Vice President Osinbajo and his wife have not relocated to the villa yet. Their plans remain unclear.
There has been much speculation on why the new president does not move to the Aso Rock. Some representatives of the “yellow press” have even suggested that “a spiritual cleansing” was in process there. However, the true reason was given by the presidential spokesperson, Mallam Garba Shehu, and was of a terrestrial nature:
“As far as the president is concerned, the place (his official residence) is not ready yet. Workers are cleaning and refurbishing the place. Once the exercise is completed, the president will move in.”

Science has shown that beer can bring many surprising health benefits even though it’s usually perceived as unhealthy. Just remember, we’re talking moderate consumption (one drink per day for women, and up to two for men), not all-night drinking sprees. Here are some remarkable and surprising beer benefits that might change your perception of the drink.
1. It can help reduce risk of heart disease
One eye-opening study involving 200,000 subjects conducted at Italy’s Fondazion di Ricerca e Cura found that people who drank a pint of beer daily had a 31% reduced chance of heart disease. This heart-protecting power of beer stems largely from beer’s natural antioxidants called phenols. However, the study also showed risk of heart disease increased in people who consumed higher amounts of beer.
2. It can help protect against Alzheimer’s disease
Perhaps one of the most remarkable health benefits of beer is its ability to protect against Alzheimer’s. Researchers at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine analyzed several studies and came to the conclusion that moderate beer drinkers were 23% less likely to develop different forms of dementia and cognitive impairment, including Alzheimer’s. The silicon content in beer is thought to protect the brain from the harmful effects of high amounts of aluminum in the body, which are one of the possible causes of Alzheimer’s.
3. It can help lower risk of diabetes
This is another remarkable benefit of moderate beer consumption. According to a 2011 Harvard study of about 38,000 middle-aged men, those who drank one to two beers daily had a 25% reduction in the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The alcohol content in beer increases insulin sensitivity, which helps prevent diabetes. Moreover, beer is a good source of soluble fiber that plays an important role in the healthy diet of people suffering from diabetes.
4. It can help prevent kidney stones
A study conducted in Finland established that moderate daily consumption of beer can reduce the risk of developing kidney stones by 40%. This health benefit is attributed to beer’s high water content (about 93%) that helps flush harmful toxins out of the body and keep the kidneys working properly. Also, compounds in hops used in brewing help slow the release of calcium from bones, which in turn prevents build up of lost calcium in the kidney in the form of stones.
5. It can help minimize risk of cancer
Beer contains an important antioxidant known as xanthohumol. Xanthohumol is known to have powerful anti-cancer properties that help fend off cancer-causing enzymes in the body. Specifically, moderate beer consumption helps prevent a certain chemical reaction that can lead to prostate cancer in men. Beer has also been shown to reduce the chances of getting breast cancer in women.
6. It can help reduce cholesterol levels
If you’d like an unorthodox method for cutting your cholesterol levels, indulging in moderate beer consumption may be the way to go. The barley used in brewing of beer contains a type of soluble fiber known as beta-glucans that has been shown to help in lowering cholesterol levels.

However, the study also found that consuming more than two drinks increased risk of bone fractures.
9. It can help treat dandruff
