Gang takes Nigerian girls to Dubai, records nude videos - See more


The suspects
Five suspected members of a human trafficking ring, paraded by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, have confessed to taking two Nigerian girls to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, to become commercial sex workers.
They also admitted that they recorded the girls’ nude videos while they were taking oaths.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspects ─ Blessing Gabriel, 25; Precious Ejiro-Owoh, 29; Rose Gabriel, 25; Priscilla Bassey, 33; and 38-year-old Terry Smooth ─ were apprehended by the agency on September 8, 2015, while one of their victims, identified only as Ann, had been rescued.

SAD: Popular Actress Dies In Auto Crash (PHOTOS)

Movie lovers will miss one of their favourite actresses Nana Gichuru who died on Tuesday, September 22, in a car crash.

The Kenyan television star was confirmed dead in a road accident after her car collided with a lorry.
Witnesses report that Nana was speeding and trying to overtake vehicles in her BMW when she ran into a heavy duty Mitsubishi truck.
 Nana may have sensed her imminent death going by her recent posts on social media; some of them countering criticisms of her driving.

She posted on Instagram a few days ago: “Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting ‘HOLY CRAP!!!! WHAT A RIIIDEE”

Actress, Uzo Aduba, Receives Emmy Award Amid Tears And Emotional Speech

Lagos Residents Forced Out Of Homes

Hundreds of residents at the Ijora Badia East community at Ebute -Metta area   in Lagos state have been rendered homeless following the demolition of their homes by government agencies.
It was gathered that the residents were woken to the noise of bulldozers and other heavy duty equipment about 4am on Friday, September 18 and were ordered to relocate.
Residents stated that a team of policemen and other security agencies had condoned the community and threatened to shoot if they resisted the demolition exercise.

No Candidate For Ooni Title Yet, Forget False Allegations – Giesi



Contrary to reports making the rounds that a new Ooni has been selected, the Giesi Ruling House of Ife has dismissed all such reports, calling them untrue.

The house shot down the allegations at a press briefing in Osogbo on Thursday, September 10.
 Prince Adelowo Ogunleye, secretary of the house, reiterated the state of lawfulness within the Giesi household during the briefing, even as he debunked claims linking the them with the false reports currently being circulated.

“[The] Giesi Ruling House is a law abiding one and we want to make it public that we have not submitted names of any of the contestants to the kingmakers.
“We have not received any letter of invitation from the government that we should submit contestants’ names to the kingmakers,” Ogunleye said.

According to The Punch, the elders in the family are yet to select any contestant for the throne. The report also says various other members of the family are still keen on becoming the new Ooni, hence the need to disregard false allegations saying the family had sold its right to the throne for some amount of money.

The family has dared anyone making such accusations to bring forth proof and substantiate claims they had sold their right to the throne for N5million, with Ogunleye concluding that the families plotting to become Ooni, even though through unlawful means, were the ones spreading falsehood on the matter.
