Sunday August 16

TRUE SPHERED.

Bible Passage: 1 Thessalonians 2: 1-8
Confession: But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God,which tried our hearts. 1Thessalonians 2:4.

EXHORTATION:
Preaching is not an alternative job for those who failed in business or secular employment. It is not for those who want to enrich themselves, but for true shepherds who will gently lead the sheep along the path of righteousness and holiness. Preaching is a passion not a profession. My entrance into the ministry is a result of divine call from God. The passion I have for his work is the one helping me in my ministry. Your ministry may not last if you don't develop passion. Paul started his ministry with a good conscience. He had no sinister or worldly design in his preaching, nor was he discouraged at the afflictions and oppositions he suffered. He followed the example of our Lord and Master Jesus who gave His life as ransom for many. Many ministers today are motivated by greed. Jesus said by their fruit ye shall know them. Are you in the ministry because of what you can gain out of it or what you can put into it? God's desire is that you should be a faithful, loyal and committed soldier of the cross.

Prayer Points:
• Let my service unto you be acceptable in your sight in Jesus name
• Teach me to be diligent in your assignment in Jesus name
• Help me to work with you with a perfect heart in Jesus name

I am one of those ready to serve the people even without being paid a salary. When you are willing to serve the people it does not have to be about money, it has to be based on selfless service. You want to see your community grow from strength to strength, you want to see families live a better life believing you can take the community you want to serve from one level they are to another level by rendering your own service.  So it is not about monetary gains for me.
