ABELINIS CELEBRATES 5TH ANNIVERSARY WITH NIGERIA POLICE CHILDREN EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT INITIATIVE

In the spirit to celebrate its fifth year anniversary, the creative and reputable award(s) winning company has gone further as its usual tradition to embark on a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to give back to the society.

On Friday January 29, 2016 the management and staff of Abelinis Limited visited the Area G Police Station, Ogba Lagos to donate cheques for the purpose of supporting some Nigerian Police Children in the divisional area where the company is located to further their education and also food items for their welfare. The monies in cheques and food items were received by the shortlisted police officers under the supervision of the Area Commander, ACP Edward Chuka Egbuka (Assistant Commissioner of Police).

Traffic warden plucks passenger's teeth over N50 change

– A motorist and traffic warden were engaged in a fight over N50.
– The traffic warden punched the motorist, prompting 3 of his teeth to fall off.

A traffic warden, identified as Sunday Charles, on Tuesday, January 26, was involved in a fight with a motorist, Kingsley, who refused to part with N50 after he was stopped at the Omole bus stop,  Ojodu area of Lagos state, by a team of traffic wardens, The Punch reports.

Trouble reportedly started when Kingsley claimed that he had earlier given Charles, N50, adding that he would not give him another until evening.
According to eyewitnesses, Charles, who insisted on collecting the money, dragged Kingsley down from the vehicle and punched him in the face, prompting 3 of his teeth to fall off.

The national coordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and chief promoter of Olokun Festival Foundation (OFF), Otunba Gani Adams, has urged members of the organization to rely more on the power and support God, emphasizing that God’s power is the ultimate.

Adams made the call yesterday during  the annual Thanksgiving service for the organization, held at the prestigious Ettal Hotel and Suit, Oregon, Lagos.
Adams said the program, which attracted a large crowd and leaders of the three religious organizations, was organized to thank God and appreciate God’s love and support for the group.
He explained that the service was arranged to involve the three major religions in the land because the OPC is a non-religious organization.
“The OPC is not a religious organization. Hence, we are here to thank God and to appreciate His goodness in the lives of our members in the three major religions in the land.”
