Cream foundation: this give medium to full coverage with an even finish. It is best for dry uneven or mature skin e. g. woman in their 40s – 50s it make the skin. Look velvety, and keep skin moisturized. Do not use for oily skin, it will be too heavy, and could give your client acne breakouts, as the oil in the foundation clogs his/her pores. Liquid foundation: this gives sheer lightweight natural look coverage, and it is water based. It can be used in all skin types and it is very light it is recommended for bridal looks when you want to achieve that natural skin. However it dries up easily and adds nourishing value to the skin better for oily and acne prone skin. Gel Foundation: this type of foundation is best for young clear skin e .g. pre-teen. It is used to achieve an even base of the skin, rather than covering up blemishes. One of its advantages is that, it glides on the skin smoothly and does not accentuate foundation line (does not make foundation line noticeable). Gel foundation gives a sheer, translucent coverage.
