Boko Haram Kill Adamawa Governor Fintiri's Uncle



Boko Haram militants have reportedly killed the  75-year-old uncle of Adamawa State governor Alhaji Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri.


 According to Africa Independent Television, the tragedy resulting in Pa Wazintu’s death occurred last week during the violent attack launched by the insurgents in his Madagali residence.
Fintiri’s uncle was allegedly killed in front of his wife and daughter.

Madagali is said to be one of the scores of Nigerian towns controlled by Boko Haram fighters, who have recently adopted the new strategy of seizing new areas and declaring Islamic Caliphate there.

More than a week ago it was reported that Fintiri’s hometown was also captured and that Madagali residents started fleeing their homes after the insurgnets had repelled military to recapture Madagali.
It was later discovered that the governor’s residence was turned into an operation base, where one of Boko Haram commanders stayed.

Speaking about death of the patriarch, his son Tanko Wazintu, said:
“My sister and step mother were forced to dig a hole to bury my father after being forced to sleep with his corpse for more than 72 hours.”

Scores of people sympathized with the governor and his family over the tragic death of Pa Wazintu’s.
The report also revealed that insurgents were forcing local youths of the seized towns into the sect to boost their depleting population.

Young man identified as Oyebuchi Romanus narrated he had managed to escape from the terrorists’ den due to the prayers of Nigerians.
