Photos: Shocking Details Of Mudslide Tragedy In Magodo

The tragic incident which occurred on Saturday, November 7, at the Otun Araromi Orise community in Magodo area of Lagos state, lingers fresh in the minds of the residents, as they still mourn four sons who were killed in mudslide incident.
The four sons who died in the mudslide incident, were sleeping in the room pictured, when the deluge covered them up.

Naij.com visited the community to verified certain speculation that has been filtered over the media within the last couple of days.
Below are exclusive photos that tell in detail what the community setting looks like, and why certain structures pose future threats to the lives of the residents within Orise community.

Some people indiscriminately built their houses on the steep hills, thereby posing a threat to themselves and some other residents whose houses are built just at the foot of the hills.
The Lagos state government has warned that buildings which are not well situated within the community will be demolished.

The Lagos state government has marked certain houses for demolition, arguing that they stand a chance of being affected by another mudslide.
Certain people who have houses built on the hills with the community, endeavoured to make a solid cast, as to shield the residents at the hill’s foot, from a surge of mud.
Residents say that the Otun Araromi Community has been in existence for over 30-years.

Many of the houses on the hill have been marked for demolition, as many of them pose an imminent threat to residents of the Orise community.
It would be recalled that four siblings: were killed in a mudslide incident which took place in Magodo on Saturday, November 7.
