MAGA NO PAY!! Abuja Yahoo Boys land in EFCC net

Some internet Fraudsters (yahoo boys) based in Abuja met their end recently after the EFCC got wind of their activities and promptly arrested them.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested three suspected Internet fraudsters at No. 24, 1st Avenue, Fort Royal Estate, Airport Road, Abuja. The suspects, Marvin Nwankwo, Prince Ojenike and Jude Olatekobowale, allegedly created a Facebook account with the following names: Rodney David, David Rodgers and Carlos David, respectively.

The acting EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade, explained in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday that their arrest was based on intelligence report that the suspects had turned the said residence into their office, using laptops, phones and other gadgets to defraud innocent people, including foreigners, of their hard earned money and other valuables. The intelligence further revealed that the suspects, aged between 22 and 30 years, used the proceeds of their crime to acquire different cars, including a Mercedes Benz GLK SUV and a Toyota Corolla, among others.

On receipt of the intelligence report, Orilade said operatives of the EFCC mounted surveillance on the building in order to monitor the activities of the suspects. He added, “After thorough investigation, the suspects were arrested and items, which included several laptops of different makes, very expensive mobile phones, modems and many Subscriber Identification Module cards, among others, were recovered from them. “The suspects will soon be charged to court.”
