Singer Yemi Alade has revealed plans to drop a sophomore album come March 2016.
The Johnny singer took to her Instagram account to break the news to her fans.
She wrote: “My darling Tangerines my sophomore studio album will hit stores physically and digitally come March of 2016. It is titled “Mama Africa”, and it focuses on the joys and pains, the highs and lows, the strengths and weaknesses of an African woman. In short, it is the diary of an African Woman.”
The singer has enjoyed an amazing year thus far. From winning the Best Female Act at the MTV Mama award to playing at several other high profile gigs, she has gone on to cement her spot as one of the biggest artists in Nigerian and African music.
The 26-year-old has a degree in Geography from the University of Lagos.
She first stepped into public awareness on emerging winner of the Peak Talent Show in 2009. Since then she has hovered on the corridors of fame with a number of singles that did fairly well across charts and playlists.
She eventually got her big break with Johnny which dropped in October 14, 2013 and it’s been a super cruise for her ever since.
